JEONG Kyeongbin

传记

JEONG Kyeongbin (b.1993) unfolds thoughts about life and death on the synesthetic screen painted with the image of the body. White Wall_Bodies and Ground (2023) is a painting that stands out for its metaphor of likening the canvas surface to skin. Imagining the process of a buried body gradually surfacing on the ground, the painting fills the view with layers of blood-red flesh peeled off. In Clearer than Death (2021), the willow branches on the screen are combined with the image of hair that fell out incessantly on sick days. Death is scary because it also approaches through the body. The brilliantly painted screen is a trace of life buried a step away from such fear.

JEONG Kyeongbin was born in Seoul in 1993. She recieved her BFA Fine Art at Korea National University of Arts in 2018.
