夫智铉，出生于韩国济州岛，毕业于济州岛国立大学美术系，并获得诚信女子大学艺术硕士学位。作为装置艺术家，夫智铉从2007年开始使用废旧渔灯作为其主要媒介，引起了艺术界的广泛关注。渔灯最初被渔民用于海洋捕捞，它的明亮光线能在黑夜中引来海里的各种鱼类。艺术家回收使用这些已经废弃而不能使用的渔灯创作装置作品，外部设备产生的光亮在玻璃表面映射出点滴的闪烁光源时，会令人产生灯具本身发光的错觉。她的作品所诱发的一种梦幻而神秘的氛围，唤醒了观者新的审美意识。
