Amid the resurgence of Korean experimental art in the 1960s and 1970s, "JUNG Kangja also woke up."
Arario Gallery will participate in the Modern Women section of FRIEZE MASTERS 2023 at Regent Park in London, England, from October 11 to 15.
The "Modern Women" section, which will be introduced for the first time this year, selects 11 major female artists who marked a turning point in women's rights and feminism from 1880 to 1980 by Camille Morineau and his co-founded "AWARE," and curates their respective solo booths.
JUNG Kangja (1942-2017) is the only Asian artist among the 11 selected writers. Arario Gallery will feature major works from JUNG Kangja's self-portrait in 1966 to 1982.
