[News] SUNG Neungkyung, KIM Kulim...K-experimental art, this time to LA

The "Korean Experimental Art 1960s-70s" exhibition, co-hosted by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, will be on tour at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles for three months from 11th to May 12th.

...The exhibition focuses on the fact that young Korean artists during this period accepted Western language of art as an alternative language and renewed the aspect of Korean art at the time through various experiments. Artists captured various media such as stereoscopic art, happening, events, and movies beyond the existing areas of painting and sculpture in the name of avant-garde "experimental art."
