[News] Rebellion of Broken Furnitures...Um Museum hold an exhibition of Aono Fumiaki

Japanese installation artist Aono Fumiaki(56)'s solo exhibition Unknown Memories Open will be held from April 4 to June 8 at UM Museum (Director Jin Hee Sook) in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do. It is the next exhibition in Korea after 10 years following the past exhibition at ARARIO GALLERY, Reincarnation: Memories from the Great Tsunami, in 2014. Fumiaki is an artist who restores everyday objects in his original way. He has been working to collect and restore abandoned objects in various places. It deals with the processes of 'destruction,' 'reproduction,' and 'circulation.' In other words, it induces the regeneration of objects through techniques such as fixing, extending, and attaching to the damaged fragment, rather than restoring the wound to its original state before it was damaged.
