Daegu Health College’s Indang Museum announced on the 18th that it will hold a special exhibition titled "now here" by artist CHOI Byungso from the 23rd until January 15 of next year.
CHOI Byungso is a contemporary Korean artist well-known for his unique artistic style and philosophy. His works and values are especially characterized by the technique of "erasure," which emphasizes repetitive labor over extended periods of time.
This exhibition will feature 64 works, including a large 15-meter installation, as well as silkscreens, video art, paintings, and collages, all of which showcase various facets of the artist's creative world. These pieces will be displayed in the museum’s grand lobby and five exhibition halls.
Notably, the exhibition will include CHOI Byungso's early newspaper works from the 1970s, as well as his previously unseen paintings and collages from the 1980s. It will also feature his latest works, which pay homage to the conceptual art he experimented with in the 1970s. The exhibition, which spans the artist’s entire career, holds special significance in reflecting the breadth of his artistic journey.
