CHOI Byungso (81) is a contemporary Korean artist well-known for his unique artistic style and philosophy. His trademark technique involves filling newspaper pages and sheets of paper with thousands of pen and pencil strokes, covering every inch without leaving any gaps. This method embodies his long, repetitive practice over time.
The exhibition 'now here,' held at Indang Museum, comprehensively showcases CHOI's life work, spanning from his early newspaper pieces of the 1970s to newly revealed paintings and collages from the 1980s, as well as recent pieces that pay homage to his conceptual art experiments from the 1970s. The exhibition features over 60 pieces, including silkscreens, video art, and a monumental 15-meter installation.
