ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL will hold CHA Hyeonwook's solo exhibition, Low Glide, from May 1 (Wed) to June 22 (Sat), 2024. CHA Hyeonwook expresses landscapes of nature and human in his memory and imagination through his paintings with a calm dreamlike atmosphere. The characteristic of the technique is the mixture of tradition and modernity. His paintings based on the form and materials of Korean paintings do not fully follow the traditional coloring techniques. He describes objects and landscapes in his own applied way, where he makes marks by applying pressure on Korean paper and delicately paints them on a surface that has gained a three-dimensional effect. In this solo exhibition, which will be held on the 4th floor of ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL, you will be able to see a total of 17 paintings of CHA's new work. It is an exhibition that presents a variety of newly established world landscapes with the combination of real subjects and the artist's imagination, and the past and present narratives.
