LEE Dongwook is an artist who addresses themes of alienation, imbalance, division, and isolation experienced by individuals in modern society through his unique visual language. His sculptural works express sharp insights and critiques of the complex and fragile nature of human beings in society, often combining his personal collection of objects with small human figures made from Sculpey, a type of clay. The cynical and detached perspective embedded in his works is particularly evident in his sculptures and installations, where artificial structures and human forms coexist in a cold and sticky manner.
