SPACE: Lost in Garden

Jeong Gubeom, SPACE, 2025年2月17日

The solo exhibition Lost in Garden by sculptor KIM Byoungho, who delves into the materiality of metal to reveal facets of contemporary society, is being held at ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL until February 8. Spanning three floors—Basement 1, Ground Floor, and Third Floor—the exhibition presents 15 sculptures of various scales, including both the artist's representative works and new pieces.

KIM likens his sculptural principles to a "garden," an artificially processed version of nature, as he explores the compositional aesthetics of metal structures within three-dimensional space. Viewing art as a "product" generated within the mechanical precision of mass production systems, he utilizes geometric aesthetics combined with metal modules as the fundamental units of his sculptures. This fusion represents his attempt, as a contemporary artist, to reinterpret aspects of modern society through new sculptural forms.
