She was an artist who wanted to live as a woman with subjectivity after being freed from the bonds of society. Her works, which has not been properly evaluated for a long time, is being re-examined in the 2000s. In particular, it is no exaggeration to say that this year is the year of the revival of the platform. The "Korean Experimental Art 1960s-70s" exhibition, in which JUNG Kangja participated, is currently on display at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and is scheduled to tour the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles early next year.

Arario Gallery is leading the revival of JUNG Kangja. In October, they participated in the "Frieze Masters 2023" and announced major works from JUNG Kangja's 1966 self-portrait to 1982.

Arario Seoul, located in Wonseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, will present a solo exhibition of JUNG Kangja from the 15th under the title of "It Has Always Been The Beginning." A total of 40 paintings focused on the world of art from 1995 to 2010, which featured intense and rich colors and a unique sense of challenge, will be exhibited.

JUNG Kangja's works are fresh and groundbreaking even now. Five years after the retrospective exhibition held simultaneously at Arario Gallery Seoul and Cheonan in 2018, a solo exhibition was held again.
