They include some of the well-known figures in the contemporary art scene such as Jesper JUST whose works recently were collected by Tate Modern, one of the most Berlin’s curators hot picks; Hannah DOUGHERTY, and Anneè OLOFFSON: a Swedish woman artist who has been actively working in NY and widely exhibited by major museums in the world. In addition, the artists participating in part II include not only talented young foreign artists, but also promising Korean artists including LEE Jihyun, LEE Seungae, KIM Hanna as well as HWANG Eunjung who is based in New York.
One of the main goals of this exhibition is to make connection between some established and lesser-known artists, and between artists working in different cities and countries who nonetheless encountered each others' work before. As these emerging artists have received great attention from major museums around the world, and have participated internationally acclaimed projects, it is our hope and goal to promote the work of these young artists and give them valuable exposure to public in Korea. Thus “Another Worlds” will provide another special opportunity for viewers in Korea to overlook the youthful freshness of contemporary art today of rising artists’ works from 16 countries bringing all together in one exhibition.
