[News] "Art Jakarta," that traditional culture permeates contemporary art exquisitely

Art Jakarta began under the name Bazaar Art Jakarta in 2009 and changed it to the current name in 2017, and it is an event that attracts attention from the international art community, representing Southeast Asia's international art marketplace along with Singapore's Art S.G.

This year's event, which marks its 13th anniversary, was held at the JIEXPO Kemayoran in downtown Jakarta. A total of 68 companies participated in the booth, including 40 galleries in Indonesia and seven galleries in Korea, as well as galleries from Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Japan, Russia, and Australia. The art marketplace was prepared by setting up a planned exhibition area between the main exhibition booth and the booth, where galleries participate, and a sponsored exhibition area by companies in a vast exhibition hall of more than 10,000㎡. Major galleries representing Indonesia, such as Sreesasanti Gallery and Lo Project, were opened in the middle of the exhibition hall, while Korean galleries also had Arario Gallery, Yehwarang, and Back Art set up at the inside and out of the exhibition hall to greet the audience with entries from Southeast Asian artists and Korean artists, including Indonesia.
