[News] [DMA Collection] Nalini MALANI "In Search of Vanished Blood"

Nalini MALANI (1946-) is an Indian-born female artist who is well known for her socio-political work of multi-layered mixed media such as paintings, murals, new media, and shadow plays. The conflict and confusion between races and religions that she experienced firsthand as an Indian-Pakistan divided refugee affected his world of work dealing with violence, feminism, racial conflict, and social inequality.

"In Search of Vanished Blood" (2014), owned by the Daejeon Museum of Art, is a single-channel video work in which images collide and overlap using reverse painting and shadow play techniques drawn on the back of glass.
