Only part of the scene and people are contained, but the photo in the square frame is full of dance. It is HWANG Gyutae's one of photography series, 'bLowup (Blow up)', who is considered one of Korea's representative photographers.
During the 2000s, He reinterpreted and released photos he took in the 1960s which was the era of realism. The method of reinterpretation was simple. Just as in his famous "Pixel" series which he took TV screens and enlarged themselves, he cut off parts of black and white photos he took in the past and enlarged them with Photoshop. Despite the simple way, the series surprised us by being transformed into new images and interpretations as if they were showing scenes that we could not see with our naked eyes even though they were photographed in a straight line.
