Kim Sechoong commemorative business association (Chairman Kim Nyong) selected the winners of the 'Kim Sechoong Sculpture Award', 'KIM Sechoong Young Sculptor Award', and the 'Korean Art Writing and Publishing Award' in 2024 and announced on the 20th.
Moon Kyungwon and Jeon Joonho will receive the 'Kim Sechoong Sculpture Award', and KIM Inbai will receive the 'KIM Sechoong Young Sculptor Award'. The 'Korean Art Writing and Publishing Award' will be awarded to Jeong Jongmi's "Materials and Techniques of Korean Painting" (2023).
Meanwhile, the 'Kim Sechoong Sculpture Award' was established in 1987 to commemorate the achievements of Kim Sechoong (1928-1986), the first generation of modern Korean sculptures, and annually selects the best talented artists in the sculpture field.
