[News] Traditional Korean landscape painting today

LEE Jeongbae has depicted the landscapes of modern society from the perspective of traditional landscape painting. In his previous works, he maintained a critical view of humanity's reckless alteration of nature driven by need and desire. However, in recent years, he has taken a more composed approach, observing fragments of nature visible between urban buildings and transforming natural elements into geometric forms. While traditional landscape painting portrays nature as it is, the nature in LEE Jeongbae’s artistic world tells the story of nature within the confines of a metropolis.
