[News] The search for this year's "Artist of the Year" to showcase to the world has begun.

KWON Hayoun is an artist who creates works using virtual reality (VR). Last year, she won the Gold Prize in the immersive works category at the Geneva International Film Festival in Switzerland and held a small-scale exhibition at the Leeum Museum of Art, actively engaging audiences. KWON's motivation for creating VR works stems from her desire to convey "personal experiences" to viewers exactly as they are. She explained, "I want to vividly portray the experiences of ordinary people swept up in major historical events, like war or colonial rule, and show that the distinction between 'enemy' and 'ally' is not as clear-cut as it might seem." Visitors wear VR headsets and, holding props like bamboo, immerse themselves in the narratives KWON has crafted.
