The term "drifting" serves as a comprehensive keyword encompassing social, cultural, and political issues. Jeju Island itself is a place deeply rooted in the history of drifting. Movements and migrations driven by drifting have enabled Southern and Northern cultures to coexist, clash, and ultimately shape Jeju's unique ecological environment and identity.
