[News] 12 Hong Kong art exhibitions coming in 2025, including Picasso, Renoir and Cézanne shows

Shanghai’s Yuz Museum is presenting Korean artist LEE Jinju’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.

Acclaimed for her mastery of traditional and highly realistic techniques, LEE is best known for her signature “Black Painting” series, for which she uses a specially handmade, light-absorbing black pigment that creates a deep darkness from which fragmented subjects emerge.

She has created 23 new works for the Hong Kong show, including a four-metre-long panoramic landscape painting called No Ground (2024).

The exhibition marks the Shanghai museum’s first “Yuz Flow” pop-up show in Hong Kong, and is held in partnership with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Qatar Museums.
