Artist LEE Jinju (b. 1980) intricately depicts strange and uncanny scenes, objects, and landscapes encountered in everyday life, utilizing traditional East Asian painting techniques with refined color application. By embedding numerous narratives within vast landscapes or rendering parts of the body emerging from darkness with extreme precision and detail, she stimulates the viewer's memory. Lee Jinju, renowned for her innovative reinterpretation of East Asian traditions, is holding her first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, titled No Ground, at the Project Space of the Hong Kong Yuz Museum.
