[Event] Eko NUGROHO: Lost in Parody

Arario Gallery Seoul is pleased to announce Eko NUGROHO's solo exhibition "Lost in Parody" with new and recent works by the artist, opening on Tuesday 1 September.

The exhibition is comprised of new and recent works by the artist, which stems from the aesthetic of “Wayang”, a traditional shadow puppet theatre based on Indonesian fables and myths. Through the reinterpretation of local and traditional techniques such as batik—a traditional method of dyeing textiles—and embroidery, the artist has developed his own stylistic form of expression.

There will not be an official Opening Reception due to COVID19. However, there will be an online Opening with Eko NUGROHO calling in from his studio in Indonesia. Please join us for this online event hosted via Instagram Live at 5 p.m. KST (3 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, Jakarta) @arariogallery and @studioekonugroho.

We ask you to comply with all COVID19 precautionary measures. Please note that you will not be allowed into the gallery without a mask and the number of visitors allowed for entry may be limited.
