ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL will host NOH Sangho's solo exhibition "HOLY" and HWANG Sueyon's solo exhibition "Magma" at the same time until April 20.
The series of "HOLY" produced by NOH Sangho from 2022 is the result of an artist who sensitively responds to changes in the contemporary media environment introducing an artificial intelligence (AI) image generation program into his work. In this exhibition, which consists of new works made in 2023 and 2024, NOH Sangho compares the sentiment of wonder or fear that is sensed at the point where the image created by AI goes against the conventional wisdom of reality to the mythical "sacredness."
HWANG Sueyon has been working on thinking and sculpting the materiality of materials and the relationship and changes that occur as his body meets. The exhibition will consist of three-dimensional sculptures and 11 flat sculptures that HWANG Sueyon recently produced. This is the result of reinterpreting social media short form contents as physical performance.
