LEE Dongwook: Love Me Sweet

In LEE Dongwook’s work 〈Love Me Sweet〉(2011), sweet honey trickles down as the structure, built as a silver trophy, collapses. It looks like it was built with honeycombs, had crumbled down due to an external force, or ran down with the honey. But what is clear here, is that any moment of glory, as sweet as honey, may collapse in a mere second. In the exhibition 《Love Me Sweet》 of the same name, LEE Dongwook greatly expanded the small stages faced by individual sculptures while maintaining his signature traits, the perfect texture of the composition, and growing out of human-centered forms and moving on to installations of greater variety and depth.
