This publication is a collection of a solo exhibition of JWA Haesun, 《The Most Ordinary Stories》 held at ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL from July 5 to August 19, 2018.

In her solo exhibition 《The Most Ordinary Stories》, JWA explores the concept of ‘ordinary life’ through depictions of daily scenes. Her dark-toned paintings are created by layering and wiping pigments on Korean paper, inviting viewers to speculate on the narratives behind them. The accompanying charcoal drawings and handwritten text works were inspired by stories she encountered as a visiting teacher. Through these varied approaches, JWA contemplates the essence of ‘ordinary life’, a concept woven into our daily routines yet inherently elusive and difficult to define.
